THE ASSIGNMENT: Create an April Fools’ circular cover for Building #19, a New England retail chain whose cartoon mascot is a character with glasses named Jerry.
Picture
The trick with these things is to come up with a question or riddle for the upper corner of the page, a long blurb along the bottom, and an illustration in between ...that all make some sense together, and are in keeping with one another—and it all has to be thought out just right, because when the page folds in on itself, the illustration and the long blurb should collapse to result in a shorter blurb along the bottom, and a new, narrower illustration, both of which not only make sense together, but are also a fitting answer to the question or riddle in the page's upper corner. Whew!
